Needle Threading
How to thread the needle
This video shows how to thread the needle and needle inspection on the Butterfly embroidery machine.

---|---|
1:14 - The needle eye must be as straight as possible and not angled. The back of the needle has a scarf/groove/valley that needs to be at the back of the needle and not towards the front. If either the eye is not straight or the scarf is not towards the back, then the machine might not embroider properly | |
1:37 - The needle groove is at the back of the needle and must be towards the back when on the machine or the machine might not sew at all. | |
2:43 - Its very difficult to thread (and see) the needle when the thread is frayed. It is recommended to cut it at a 45 degree angle with sharp scissors so that you will have a clean angle. | |
3:29 - The thread goes through the eye of the needle from the front, to the back of the needle and then through the presser foot. Use of tweezers might help. | |
4:23 - The thread should gently go into the spring that runs across the machine head. Leave a few centimeters length so that when the machine starts sewing on that needle, it has plenty of extra thread to make the first knot. |
