Most commercial embroidery machines will properly embroidery from 500-1000 stitches per minute (SPM or RPM)

Sometimes increasing the speed on any machine might result in less desirable quality embroidery. Pushing the machines speed generally lowers the embroidery stitch quality.

If an embroidery design has 6000 stitches, most all commercial machines will complete the job in under 10 minutes. The average embroidery logo is about 4000-7000 stitches.

If a design has a lot of color changes, trims, then it will significantly take longer to embroidery the design. All of these stops really slow down embroidery.

Digitizing for production embroidery cuts back on these stops. An average embroidery stop can take anywhere from another 6-20 seconds. Some designs poorly digitized might have dozens of stops, adding many minutes to production.
