We at TheEmbroideryWarehouse love refurbishing embroidery equipment!!! But, what exactly do we do???
Generally when a machine arrives at our facilities, the first thing we do is inspect the machine for any damages including physical, mechanical or electronically. If the machine has any physical or mechanical issues, parts are immediately ordered. All the electronics are gone through rigorous tests to find any weak points, or damaged electronics or motors that might need to be replaced now or in the future. Once all the electronics have checked out good, we begin un-assembly.
The embroidery equipment is generally torn down to the chassis, neck and arm, leaving most all the major shafts and motors. Most major shafts and motors are left on during rebuild as they are factor set with special tools at time of manufacture.

Once the machine is torn apart, everything is cleaned and what needs to be replaced, is replaced. Some parts are painted at times or sometimes we even refurbish the plastic covers.
Once the machine and parts are all clean, we begin reassembly. All removed and cleaned parts are put back on as well as any new parts.
When the machine is all back together, we will resync everything such as needle depth, hook timing, stop positions, upper and lowers, etc. The machine is rethreaded and we will run it for 2-5 days with various test designs and stress tests. We make sure our equipment meets our top standards for our warranty.
Once the machine passes all our QC and paperwork, we will cut off the thread (or leave it in some instances) and being to pack up the equipment. This usually consists of wrapping up the equipment and protecting the sides.
